Review: This is a beautifully written story of a little boys grief. The writer set out to craft a short movie about grief that may be used to help young people through the loss and pain of th death of someone in their life. Sol eperiences the loss of his Nonee (grandmother) passes away. Passing through a range of different aspects of grief (shock, yearning, disorientation and resolution), the film explores these through the eyes of a Sol.

Sol finds himself in a very dark world. Confused and disortiented he feels he needs to understand what has happened, But he finds his mother is also going through grief and doesn't seem to notice his pain. So in this confusion he determins to go on a quest to find the answer. His quest is to find the light that had gone out in his world. His journey or quest brings with it an uplifting message, aiming to bring light and comfort to families with young children as a difficult year for everyone finally wends its way to a close. It is through the journey thaat Sol is able to comprehend that his love for his Nonee doesn't need to end. That he can still continue to love her. It is also a wonderfully written message for children, families and educators to create a safe space where they may discuss coping with grief and loss of someone we love.

This is a very emotional yet poigniant film. One that has a puprose and place for those living with loss.
