Cheese Cake Slice

Ingredients:

  • 500g Gingernut Biscuits
  • 250g Butter
  • 1 tin Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Cup Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbs Gelatine
  • 2 packets Flavoured Jello

Instructions:

  • Place the biscuits in a food processor and mix until the are similar to bred crumbs.
  • Place in a large bowl and add melted butter mixing well.
  • Press down in a slice tray lined with Go-Between.
  • Place in the refrigerator to set.
  • In a mixing bowl add cream cheese and condensed milk and mix until smooth.
  • Put the gelatine into the lemon juice and let disolve stirring occassionally.
  • Add the lemon/gelatine mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well blended.
  • Pour this over the biscuit base and level.
  • Disolve the 2 packets of jello in 2 cups of hot water.
  • Allow to sit and cool off before pouring over the cheese layer.
  • Return to the refrigerator and allow to set before serving.
