Why I left the
Contemporary Christian Music Movement
Title: Why I left the Contemporary Christian Music Movement
Author: Dan Lucarini
ISBN: 0-85234-517-8
Pub: Evangelical Press
Notes: Dan Lucarini speaks from a person who has travelled with and
supported the powerful movement promoting the Contemporary Christian
Music movement. He was one of many key figures to herald in the use
of modern music themes and techniques into mainstream service. So
he is perhaps one of the best people to speak out against what he
has seen. That is the negative side to the movement. And the influence
it is having on the mission of the Church.
Although his book tends to rely heavily on such phrases as "This
will be explained in the next chapter" or "I will explain
this later in the book". He does make for a powerful argument
against the movement. And against those who staunchly defend it.
In this crazy Politically Correct World; we have been infiltrated.
The Church now has given in to pressure to conform to the Worldly
Standards of Blind Acceptance. And this is seen strongly in the arguments
for modern music in Church Services. Any who would speak out against
it is degraded and spoken of as being Hard Hearted, Old Minded, Hypocritical
Pharisees and worse in many cases.
It takes a firm mind set on God and a strong heart to stand ones ground.
And to state Bible Based truths that goes against this music trend
in the Church today. And thankfully Dan Lucarini is one of these voices
A well written book that deserves a fair and open minded reading before
it is judged or criticised.
