Title: The True and Living God
Author: Kim Hawtrey
ISBN: 1-876326-10-7

Who or What do you Worship? Is it an object? Is it an Ideal? Is it
a person or celebrity? And what has this idolisation done to your
view and worship of God? The creator of all things including you yourself.
Kim Hawtrey sets a fast pace as he challenges people to look seriously
at what they spend the majority of their time and energy on. He lists
a range of what for many would seem to be practical and worthwhile.
Such as the Family, a Career and the Health and Beauty of the Body.
And then goes on to explain how easily it is to for these things to
take the place of God. Letting them slowly eat away at the precious
time we should keep set aside for the worship of God. Where we begin
to worship and value created things over the creator.
The book is now slightly dated as to some of the terminology used.
Yet it is still a very good bases for an argument for many to look
at the way they live their lives. And to force important and critical
questions as to what or who is the focus and centre of their lives.
In short; How many people would be completely devastated if they lost
their iPad or Smart Phone? While not even fret or stress if they lost
their Bible.
