It may seem odd to be doing a Book Review on a Cook Book. But as I enjoy cooking and presently have over 80 Cook Books, it only seemed natural to do so. This particular book has been out for some time now.

Put together by Victoria Hansen and Published and promoted by Woolworth's, the book fills a needed Niche or Gap that has been sadly left empty for ages. In the past Cooks and Home Makers had a range of "Basic Principle" books to act as a guide to cooking. Sorted and organised to explain the principles of basic down to earth cooking. Yet in recent years, with the move towards fast food and pre made foods; we have lost touch with such logical wisdom.

Victoria has come to our aid. All be it now well over ten years ago. But just the same she outlines a range of valuable and insightful recipes that are the foundation for standard recipes. Well worth adding to your Cook Book Collection.
