Review:
I will be reviewing the works of Richard Brautigan over the next couple of months.

This is not purely a single book. More a compilation of images, encounters and experiences. Written in the style of a Novella. Though for me it also has many aspects of a Vignette or Reflection on life.

The reflections mirror in small part the life of Brautigan. While the characters such as "Trout Fishing ?" serve more as visionary representations of his concepts of life, than that of real people, places and activities.

Reading Brautigan is a acquired taste. One either loves his vague open free flow style or is put off by it. For me, I was instantly fascinated by it. Not like my many attempts to "learn" to like martinis through force and effort. It was an easy step to read and enjoy his books.

Tragically he took his life. So we have a limited number of his works. So the key is to space them apart.

The challenge is to read just one book and see how you feel.
