Review: The Mists of Avalon is a fantasy novel writen by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It takes the Arthurian legend and looks at it from a womans perspective. The women who held power behind the trhone and in such ways that it affected the very course of the legend from the beginning to the closing chapters.

As a fantasy novel it has not avoided or escaped critism. The moajority being directed either towards the moral caharacter of the authoress or the abuse and hate directed towards Christians. If you are just looking for something in the way of a fantasy and can accept that the novel is just a fantasy then you may be able to over look the issues. Otherwise this may not be an enjoyable read. I remember eading this as a younger reader and did find some of the dialogue contentious but was able to shrug most of it off as it didn't directly affect me. If you can do the same you may find this enjoyable reading. Just saying.
