"Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near."
Philippians 4:5

Matthew 5:16
Titus 2:7-8

Reflection:
Let your gentleness be visible to all. How often we let the coldness pf the world around us destroy our witness to the amazing Grace of God. We become so imbittered and destracted that we act more like victims than the saved and blessed people that we are. We are admonished to show the world that we have something to share. They may not want to hear our witness. Nor may they want to hear the Gospel message of Salvation. Yet we can still reach out to them and impress on their hearts a message as displayed on our life's. We just need to live our lives as the redeemed and stop acting like the world.

The Lord is near. How comforting these words are to the redeemed and saved. They are indeed special. They remond us that we are not alone in this world. We have both our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ. As well as the guidence and comfort of the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells and encourages us to do everything we do as a form of praise, worship, homage and witness unto the Lord. As we know he is close to us we can see just how important it is to be sure to live the life we have accepted. In common talk, we are encouraged to not just "Talk the Talk" but to follow through and be sure to "Walk the Walk".

In Matthew 5:16 we read these words:

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Which further emphasises the importance to share your faith in all that you do and how you live and face challenges. Letting others see your good works reveals the motivation behind doing them. They glorify our Father in heaven. They give creadence to our passion for Christ. Our works are not what we do to be lauded by the world. They are a service of praise and worship we do for God our Father.

While in Titus 2:7-8 we read these words of encouragement:

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

To make it clear we are to show ourselves to others through oour good works. Validating our personal integrit, dignity and sound speech. Aspects of a good character that can not be condemned or ridiculed. We are to be strong in how we act so that our oponents (the Devil and Company) will have no oportnunity to put us to shame. We do all for the Lord and take no credit for our reward is stored for us in Heaven.

Prayer:

My Lord and Saviour King,
I seek the calmness of my faith.
To live a life that reflects your Grace.
To a fallen world lost in darkness.
So that by my humble acts,
Others may see you and repent.
Help me to live each day for you.
I pray this in your loving name.

Amen
