How many times have we each tried to do something. Failed and in despair gave up. Or perhaps somewhat less productive. We just keep trying until the task at hand has been completely trashed and we feel even worse then if we had just thrown in the towel.

A quote I like to share with people says.

"When all else fails. Remember, you can pray."

True, prayer does seem the last thing we tend to think about when faced with a day to day run of the mill challenge. When was the last time you prayed when trying to set the timer on the Video Recorder so you wouldn't miss a favourite movie? Only to find out not only did you only get half the movie. But the video you used had something important on it.

Prayer is a wonderful way of stopping the ego from pushing in. And letting the Holy Spirit take lead. Try it sometime.

Prayer:
Lord, this task I am about to take on seems more then I alone can handle.
I will need patience and insight if I am to accomplish this.

I pray that you will open my heart and my mind to the Holy Spirit.
So that I may not lose either focus or temper. I pray this in you loving name.
