"Somewhere between the Earth and God's Heavenly Throne,
even the softest of voices are magnified through Faith."

MJ Flack

Psalms:95:1:

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a
joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Recently there was a wonderful dream that came to life. A group of people with musical talents got together to help the Homeless. They met with people who had found themselves on the streets for a wide range of reasons. Some of them mental illness. And some of them personal or social difficulties.

Through the encouragement of this group and with the support of many charitable organisation 'The Choir of Hard Knocks' was formed. A unique and somewhat melancholy sound was created. Giving voice to many of those who would normally have never been heard.

This was a Joyful Noise. A Choir of Souls that had learned to live on societies ragged edge. In short as the title says. They had learned to survive through Hard Knocks.

As I think about the achievement this is for them. And how it has changed their life's in so many ways. I stop and ponder what we as Christians can also achieve. If we were to pool our resources together. Join in ecumenical Harmony. And make a Joyful Noise. One that would have the power to change society itself.

We know where our salvation is founded. And we know that it is God who can make permanent changes in the World we live. So why couldn't we stand up and call out to the lost, the tired and the Homeless. With the Joyful Good News of Jesus Christ?

Prayer:
Lord, we are like many small fragments of coloured glass. Scattered around the floor of society. Or many single Musical Notes. On scattered sheets of paper. Each unique and pretty by themselves. And yet somehow still incomplete.

I pray that you will bring us together into a Stained Glass Window of your love for all of Mankind. So that we can shine the light of your word for all to see.

I pray that we may become a Symphony of Hymns. That will spread the Good News for all to hear. A comfort to all.

Lord, make us instruments and voices of your love.
Amen
